What is a Tech Editor?
A tech editor is a quality checker for patterns. When I tech edit your pattern, you can be assured that your final copy will be accurate, easy to follow, and error-free.
Currently I offer crochet tech editing services only.
What does a Tech Editor check?
Checks included as part of my crochet tech editing services:
- Stitch counts
- Grammar, spelling & readability
- Clarity & consistency in style, abbreviations & standard crochet conventions
- Completeness of pattern, including sections, materials & those easily forgotten finishing touches
- And many, many more!
Pricing
Patterns come in all shapes and sizes, therefore pricing will vary based on the length, complexity, and time frame in which you require your pattern to be tech edited.
On an hourly basis, pricing is $50 NZD per hour (approx. $30 USD), with a minimum 30-minute charge. Billing will be in 15 minute increments.
